Are you ready to STEP UP and help CHALLENGE the Rockingham County Commissioners and their rezoning decision allowing for Highway Commercial use of 192 acres next to Camp Carefree? Landowners surrounding the 192 acres have retained a land use attorney to handle an appeal of the rezoning decision. This rezoning will not just impact those who live right beside the rezoned land, it will negatively impact the entire county! And whether or not casino gambling is legalized in the future, we need to hold our County leaders accountable. We need you to help us raise money to support this effort!
Our organization seeks to be good stewards of funds received and is engaging an accounting firm to help manage the finances. Funds raised in excess of the costs of the rezoning appeal litigation will be used to educate the public about economic policies and decisions impacting our county.
